Msc1 SA4503: A Drug for the Treatment of CNS Disorders with A Unique Mechanism of Action Msc2 HF10: A Drug for the Treatment of Cancer
SA4503 is a potent and selective, small molecule sigma-1 receptor agonist. The sigma-1 receptor plays an important role in the regeneration of the injured central nervous system and its activation by SA4503 stimulates functional recovery. Moreover, SA4503, by virtue of its selective binding to the sigma-1 receptor, displays anti-depressant and cognitive enhancement activities. M's Science has focused its research efforts on this compound and its unique mechanism of action.
HF10 is a live attenuated, spontaneously occurring mutant of herpes simplex virus (HSV) with strong anti-cancer activities. HF10 has been established by Professor Yukihiro Nishiyama of Nagoya University, School of Medicine. M's Science is currently developing HF10 as an effective cancer drug. A phase 1/2 clinical trial of HF10 in head and neck cancer patients is in progress in the United States.
